O deputado estadual Osmar Filho, do PDT, anunciou em quarta-feira (6) seu apoio à reeleição do prefeito de São Luís, Eduardo Braide, do PSD. Embora alguns membros do PDT apoiem a pré-candidatura de Fábio Câmara à prefeitura da capital, Osmar Filho confirmou seu apoio a Braide.
O anúncio de Osmar foi feito durante a filiação da empresária e advogada Clara Gomes, sua esposa, ao PSD, o partido do prefeito Eduardo Braide. Osmar Filho disse: “Quero dizer a toda a cidade de São Luís, aos nossos amigos, ao nosso grupo político, que vamos caminhar juntos com o nosso prefeito Eduardo Braide, por entender que ele está no caminho certo e que São Luís tem avançado bastante e vai avançar muito mais”.
Clara Gomes agradeceu a acolhida do prefeito Eduardo Braide e reafirmou seu apoio à sua reeleição, dizendo que a cidade de São Luís pode contar com ela. Ela também destacou que não poderia ter escolhido uma data melhor para iniciar sua vida político-partidária do que na semana em que se comemora o Dia Internacional da Mulher.
O prefeito Eduardo Braide destacou a chegada de Clara Gomes ao PSD, dizendo: “Estou muito feliz em receber a filiação da Clara aqui no PSD, como pré-candidata a vereadora de São Luís. É um grande nome que o partido ganha e, tenho certeza, que a cidade também”.
