Assumindo uma cadeira como deputado estadual na 20ª Legislatura da Assembleia Legislativa do Maranhão, Osmar Filho (PDT) tomou posse na manhã desta quarta-feira(1º), em solenidade realizada no plenário da Casa. “Durante toda a minha trajetória política busquei estar próximo da população, trabalhando pelo seu bem-estar.
É uma característica que vou trazer para o Legislativo Estadual, para fazer o melhor pelo Maranhão e por todo o nosso povo”, disse o pedetista.
Estreante no Parlamento Estadual, Osmar ocupa a 3ª Secretaria da nova Mesa Diretora, eleita por unanimidade após a solenidade de posse e que tem como presidente a deputada Iracema Vale (PSB).
Também comandará a Ouvidoria Geral da Casa, órgão responsável por fazer a interlocução entre a Assembleia Legislativa e a sociedade.
O deputado assume essas responsabilidades, em grande parte, pela experiência adquirida em dois mandatos como presidente da Mesa Diretora do Legislativo Municipal.
Eleito com mais de 50 mil votos, sempre direcionou sua atuação política para as mais diversas áreas, buscando o bem-estar social de maneira abrangente, com especial atenção à geração de emprego e renda, à defesa das mulheres e à preservação do meio ambiente.
O advogado iniciou sua trajetória pública em 2008, aos 21 anos, conquistando um feito inédito até então, de ser o mais jovem vereador eleito para o Legislativo ludovicense. Acumula em seu currículo a experiência de quatro mandatos como vereador da capital maranhense – dois deles como o mais votado -, tendo assumido, ainda, em 2013, a pasta de Articulação Política da Prefeitura de São Luís.
Também já exerceu a presidência e a vice-presidência do Parlamento Municipal e foi relator de umas das comissões técnicas mais importantes da Casa, a de Orçamento. E, em 2017, foi eleito membro do Diretório Nacional do PDT, instância máxima do partido, ocupando atualmente a presidência da legenda na capital maranhense.
